A member asked:

40 y.o female with a gradual increase in memory loss. forgetting things mid-sentence, why i went to a room in the house, etc. it's getting worse. am i too young for alzheimer's or what else could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Even in older patients, we invariably look for reversible causes of memory loss. Among the many problems: are sleep disorders, medication or recreational drug side effects, thyroid problems, chronic infections, vitamin deficiency, depression, and genetic disorders. Would certainly be of value to see an experienced neurologist and evaluate your situation.
