What does asplenia give you a great risk for? all infections or just a few? am i more susceptible to fungal infections, viral, etc?

Increased risk for only a few kinds of infection, but some of them can be very dangerous. Bacteria including pneumococcus (pneumonia, sepsis) & meningococcus (meningitis); talk to your doctor about vaccination against both. Malaria is more dangerous; take preventive meds if visiting a malarious area. Not so much for fungal and viral infections. See an infectious diseases specialist for advice.
