First obtain a serum HCG test to confirm that pregnancy not the cause, and if negative, stop the current pack of oral bcp's and begin seven days later with a new pack, as withdrawal bleeding with current low dosage oral bcps can be the cause. Take the "active" pills within the hour of the prior day's active pill.
