At times after defecating and wiping myself if i later take a shower i find fecal matter that i did see earlier after the bm..what might cause this, and how do i treat it in order to reduce or eliminate this residual fecal matter?

What caused this was an incomplete cleaning of the anal area. You can try a wet toilet paperor wash the area with soap and water after BM. Best is a bidet.
