Valium is not the best medicine to take when you have sleep apnea because it can lead to respiratory depression. This is less likely to happen with the sleep apnea treated but it could still be an issue, there is no way to determine if you will develop respiratory depression. There are better ways to treat knee and hip pain. Perhaps see orthopedics for alternative treatment. Good luck!

Cannot recommend Valium or any sedative/ tranquilizer in the face of sleep apnea, even when well managed by a CPAP unit. It would also be prudent to avoid narcotic analgesics due to respiratory risks. Would urge an orthopedic surgical consultation to assist with your knee and hip issues. Physical therapy might be the safest and most effective approach for your pain.
