A member asked:

I have calcium level 10.6 and pth of 124 osteopenia do i have hyperparathyroid? are those numbers too low for me to be concerned about?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A high calcium level normally lowers the PTH. When your serum calcium is persistently elevated ( over 10.2) and the PTH isn't below 25, then you very likely have hyperparathyroidism. An endocrinologist can evaluate & advise you further.
