If your heart rate goes from less than 100 to 125 when you go from sitting to standing, you should see a doctor to have this evaluated. It could be a sign of dehydration, among other things. If you are having symptoms like dizziness you should be seen more urgently to find out what the problem is. Good luck!

If you're a young woman a condition called postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome ( POTS)is a possibility. The heart rate can rise to a much faster rate than 125 with an episode. It's caused by a flaw in the autonomic nervous system. Often there's an associated drop in blood pressure after going from sitting to standing. A cardiologist is the specialist who usually deals with POTS patients.
