Got electrocautery done on broken capillaries on my nose, scab came off and now the area is very red. what should i do? my dermatologist had recommended putting vaseline on until the scab came off but it does not look fully healed-was done 7 days ago?

If there is a wound there, you could apply an antibiotic ointment, like bacitracin or triple antibiotic ointment. This will keep it from getting infected. You should also avoid sun exposure. If it is not getting better over the next few days, call the doctor who did the procedure to take a look at it. Good luck!
