A member asked:

How much smaller would a testicle be if it died? been in pain over week possibly around the cord and both sides of the testicles?

The blood supply to the testicle has to be cut off for atrophy & shrinkage to gradually develop. Instead of worrying about what is unlikely in your case, you should be examined & advised by your physician or a urologist. Any appropriate testing will be ordered. You may have epididymitis which is treated with antibiotics.

Your symptoms warrants a visit to a Urologist- now -if that is not possible go to the ER and get checked out. It takes several months for a 'dead ' testicle to shrink. Good luck
