Specializes in Internal Medicine

There are doctors who specialize in sleep medicine, mostly lung doctors. If your doctor doesn’t seem as knowledgeable, then see another sleep specialist. Not lull pulmonary doctors have the extra certification in sleep medicine-be sure to find one who is board-certified in sleep medicine. Good luck!

Mostly pulmonary docs specialize in diagnosing and treating sleep apnea, only some have the certification in sleep. Would suggest realistic expectations and following recommendations, in case results are not as expected, seeking a second opinion would be best.
