Not unusual over time to experience wear and tear of intervertebral discs, associated with desiccation and small tears in the annulus fibrosis. This is reflected in imaging demonstrating the narrowing. This may or may not be associated with pain and stiffness. Physical therapy and exercise might be indicated.
