Is a midstream sample for a naa test for gonorrhea and chlamydia acceptable and reliable? the lab advised to use midstream and clean catch but i thought first void was the proper way. test was negative and 7 days post reception of oral?

You are correct. By Labcorp website: "Endocervical, vaginal, or male urethral swab; first-void urine (patient should not have urinated for one hour prior to specimen collection); or cervical cells in liquid cytology vial". If you are asymptomatic, I think you should be okay although the urine was not collected accurately. If you have symptoms of urethritis then have the test repeated. Good luck.
