Just did my first dose of fragmin injection. is it normal for it to sting and cause severe stomach pain?

Any injection can sting. Fragmin is meant to be injected under the skin but yours may have hit a muscle or nerve assuming you received the injection in the abdomen. Expect some tenderness & bruising at the injection site. Get examined if symptoms don't resolve quickly.
