A member asked:

I recently started working at a carwash so my feet are constantly wet. i have a burning feeling in the ball of my foot. is it from the water exposure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Burning feet: It could be from prolonged water exposure. If your shoes are consistently wet and you are wearing no or wet socks, you may be causing some shearing forces (think about 2 sheets of paper rubbing over each other) this can cause a burning sensation and blisters! bring an extra pair of dry socks and shoes, in addition to some water shoes to see if this helps. If it gets worse see a podiatrist.
