If beta blocker stops my arythmia then isnt it pointless wearing a 24hour halter monitor while im still taking metoprolol?

The beta blocker is intended to control your heart rate, it does not stop most arrhythmias. A monitor is needed to further assess the status of your heart, 24 h offers only a glimpse of what lies ahead. Your cardiologist remains your best resource going forward.
