Neck pain both sides when i move my head.. could this be from tension?

It could be from tension but also from neck arthritis, inflamed neck muscles or strain,whiplash,etc. Anti-inflammatory meds like advil or aleve relieve arthritic neck discomfort while muscle relaxants relieve tense neck muscles.
