Bradycardia is defined as heart rate less than 60 bpm. People with a high parasympathethic system, i.e. vagotonia, can be normally present with heart rate in the 50s and sometimes in the 40s with otherwise normal EKG and heart exam. I do not talk about the exceptional cases of bradycardia in woman athletes with years of training. Take care.
