A member asked:

I have something under the skin by my pinky nail that i was told was a wart. however, it has been frozen 4 times, and i have used a wart stick (40% salicylic acid) for a year, and it is still there, and really hurts. is this even a wart? what kind?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Warts around fingernails may be difficult to cure. Since you've had professional treatment which has failed, & if your lesions truly are common warts,a different treatment approach should be tried. I recommend consulting a specialist in the diagnosis & treatment of warts at the department of dermatology at a university hospital near you.
