A member asked:

Will covering ringworm with a plaster when doing activities that involve skin to skin contact prevent transmission? the area in question is less than 2cm and has been treated for a week and nearly faded?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Once you start treatment you can definitely significantly reduce transmission of the fungus spores to others or other parts of your own body by covering the patch. However it's difficult to know how long it takes for all the fungus spores in your skin to be removed. A dermatologist can advise you further.
