How long specific side effects last varies from person to person so it is not always easy to predict. These meds can take 4-6 weeks to have their desired effect but if your husband is having intolerable side effects, he should contact the doctor who prescribed the medication to see if a change is warranted. There are other meds that can be tried if he is not tolerating this one. Good luck!
