Insufficient info: There's no way to know what your medical issue is or what cell count test you are referencing. We can assume you have diarrhea since you had a stool study. Are the high white and red counts in your blood, urine or stool? Results like +++ are usually from a screening dipstick, most likely a urine test. Write back and specify why you went to the doctor in the first place and what tests they did.

Long D/Dx: When stool has visible mucus/Blood, it can be a sign of bacterial infections, anal fissures, a bowel obstruction, or Crohn's disease ,even colon cancer. Laboratories should ensure that physicians understand what organisms are screened for by the routine bacterial stool culture, as this is infrequently apparent to the general practitioner or even to many specialists. When in doubt get Colonoscopy
