My son (autistic 7) said his throat hurt and he said he couldn't sleep because of coughing so we gave him cough medicine. he threw up a few minutes later and there was a whole nerf dart! i am not sure if he ate any others, he said no, do i worry?

Since your son is not likely to be able to give you detailed or necessarily reliable answers, You can only go on how he is acting. If he continues to have discomfort or other complaints, I would take him in to be seen. If the symptoms Resolve now, I would not feel the need for urgent intervention. Good luck.
