I have several rotten teeth broken off at the gum line. will the dentist use general anesthesia or local anesthesia to remove them?

This is your decision to make. If you are fearful and anxious than general anesthesia is recommended. Local is indicated if you are in good physical an mental health. Have you had extractions before? If you have general you will need someone to take you home. Make sure you replace these teeth and practice good oral hygiene so you don't loose amy more teeth.

Local anesthesia is usually sufficient for the extraction of retained roots. You should speak to the dentist or oral surgeon who will be treating you so that there are no surprises at your appointment.
