A member asked:

Hi, i've been on pain killers for decades and they have stopped working. i've tried everything from suboxone to methadone. is my best bet to have an internal morphine pump installed? i just had a thyroid tumor removed. unsure whats causing my pain?

Painkillers regularly develop tolerance over time and it appears that you have chronic pain lacking a clear-cut diagnosis. Find a pain specialist or a neurologist and proactively seek an answer. Also, continue to seek help with your chronic narcotic usage. Seek second opinions. Insertion of a narcotic pump is indeed a drastic approach.
