I took a 5mg valium 10 days ago,only one, and now i have a rx for lyrica 75mg to be taken 3 times daily. is it safe to start the lyrica after taking the valium 10 days ago?

Assuming there is no reason to think you are not metabolizing the medications properly, the Valium would be metabolized by 10 days after the one dose you took. The Valium should not be interfering with the current prescription for Lyrica. Good luck!

Lyrica can be taken twice daily. Discuss with your doctor the rationale for 3 times daily. Lyrica has few drug-drug interactions, and will not affect Valium. But both can cause drowsiness, and it may be hazardous to drive or use power equipment when taking both. Also, discuss this with your doctor.
