I'm going through a very emotionally challenging time due to death of someone close but i started taking prozac 2wks before the death. will a challenging time prevent or delay the medication from working? i am feeling like the meds isn't working?

There is typically a delay for antidepressants to work successfully, and an appropriate dose titration may also take several weeks. Do contact your provider, and discuss your current response, as this can likely be readily improved with a few simple steps.
