NSAIDs and sunburn: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids) like aleve (naproxen) can help with inflammation, swelling and stinging of a sunburn especially if used within the first 48 hours. Please be careful about taking them with food as they can irritate the stomach. Also some of these medications can make your skin more sun sensitive so avoid any additional sun exposure if taking.
