Is it better to consult with a surgeon or a dermatologist for what i have? which is i had a granulation tissue inside my bellybutton and it has not fully healed, ive been dealing with this for 2 years. if i try and exercise i have discomfort/pain?

A dermatologist should be able to treat excess granulation tissue. Did you have a piercing there? That would explain why the granulation tissue formed in the first place. If so, you likely will need to keep the piercing out while the granulation tissue is being treated. Good luck to you!

Although either doctor could probably treat it, it seems more appropriate to have the problem evaluated initially by the dermatologist. Good luck.
