I've been taking 3 weeks 25 mg elavil for nerve pain & it helps wonderfully. however, my mind isn't like it use to be. i feel blah.. i wasn't depressed before taking it, but since taking it, my mind isn't at peace like before. can elavil cause this?

Elavil is a rather old drug and is used infrequently in the elderly due to potential adverse effects, especially anticholinergic issues. A number of nerve pain suppressant drugs are available, and would have as good or better effects and fewer side effects. Switch to an alternative approach.
