At 30 years of age infection that flares up behind a molar could be from gum infection or and unerupted wisdom tooth or other factors. Continue to brush, floss and rinse, and stay committed to being checked by a dentist soon. We should all have our teeth checked and cleaned at least every six months. Don't be lulled into thinking you are free from the need for care because the symptoms subside.

The NY STATE DENTAL ASSOCIATION is in next town, ALBANY. Call them for a dentist in your area.1 800 255 2100. You need an x-ray to see if a wisdom tooth is causing this problem or is food trapped under gum. Irrigation with HYDROGEN PEROXIDE and water will help, but a dental visit is recommended.
