A member asked:

I've been coughing clear phlegm for a week what could be the cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There are many causes and to mention a few of them: postnasal drip from allergies, chronic bronchitis from smoking, a viral bronchitis or viral pneumonia, gastic reflux causes respiratory irritation or an irritant in the air from pollution. Best to be seen by a doctor to assess the real cause.
