You did the right thing to possible avoid cat scratch disease. If you develop swollen lymph nodes than you contracted this disease, but most unlikely. Cats don't carry the rabies disease.

Rabies post-exposure treatments are influenced by local factors. Local county health departments keep track of regional rabies findings in various animals & the often changing recommendations for treatment. If there are no affected animals in the region for months they would be less aggressive than if there were some found. I would contact them or a local ER for current practices.
