I have been given medroxyprogesterone to help stop my bleeding. i have to take 1 10mg tablet twice a day. for 7 days. what is the liklihood of this causing me deadly blood clots? i read it causes blood clots in brain, lungs, legs etc. terrified?

See your GYN physician to discuss the clotting effects of progesterone. While there are statistical risks of clot formation for any hormonal treatments, including low dose oral birth control, there are other alternatives for abnormal bleeding.
