Active genital warts are capable of spreading the virus to an uninfected partner through sexual contact. Most will shed/clear naturally by two years in most. They can be removed by freezing/laser or chemical agents. When your warts are gone, transfer of the virus is unlikely after removal or natural clearing.

In most people the immune system gets rid of the virus. In some it persists but not everyone gets warts. All depends on the immune system. It can be transmitted if present but the infected person has the same odds as mentioned earlier
