Yes, the immune system commonly cures hepatitis B virus infection. There's a good chance this has happened in your child, in view of her negative DNA test. Talk with her doctor about the other tests I mentioned in reply to your other question. Good luck.

A hepatitis B infection can resolve fully without treatment in some people. Other people develop chronic hepatitis B infection and require treatment.
