Based on the symptoms described, the dark black lump on the left tonsil could be a tonsil stone or a peritonsillar abscess. Tonsil stones, also known as tonsilloliths, are small, white or yellowish formations that develop in the crevices of the tonsils and are made up of bacteria, dead cells, and mucus. They can cause bad breath and discomfort but are usually harmless.
