They are safe together, but might not be effective. Doxycycline is active against the large majority of bacteria that cause UTI, so if that diagnosis has been confirmed, it's likely with an antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Make sure your doctor has ordered a urine culture with sensitivity testing (if positive) and that the treatment you receive is active against the causative organism. Good luck.
