Probably. Bright red blood originates from at or near the outlet where digestive enzymes have not turned it dark/black. Exams can confirm a fissure. They often take time to heal when stools remain bulky or hard. The blood loss is seldom enough to create a long-term problem. Make soft stools & this should heal in time.
