A member asked:

Is streaks of blood in considered vomiting blood about a month ago i threw up water and there were streaks of blood definitely streaks the water wasn't dyed red and i just didn't throw up straight blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anyone who throws up with enough force can tear minor tissue in the upper throat and airway. These injuries leak specks/strings of blood. They generally self heal in a few days. People with real blood throw up problems have grater volume and often blackish/coffee ground like material that represents stomach acid effect.
