Since yeast may be a causative agent in this rash due to friction and moisture,I recommend treatment with an ointment containing both corticosteroid & antiyeast components (like mycolog). In addition,I recommend wearing loose white cotton underwear and avoiding tight jeans or pants. Instead of a prescription, your pharmacist may recommend nonprescription separate ointments, a steroid&an antiyeast
