Many possible: Paxil (paroxetine) may have many side effects. The most common I have seen are weight gain and sedation. Also, some patients have problems with "withdrawal" when discontinuing paxil (paroxetine). Your doctor should discuss possible side effects before prescribing the meds. If you want more information, ask your pharmacist for a medication information sheet.

Pasil is not indicat: Paxil, (paroxetine) a ssri, is primarily indicated for depression and anxiety. It has many side effects which makes it a difficult agent to use. These include GI irritation, sexual side effects, anticholinergic side effects, and hyperhydrosis. It is extremely difficult to discontinue often requiring long periods of titration to avoid strange physical symptoms including sensations like electric shocks in lim.

SSRI side effects: Paxil (paroxetine) is a typical selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Side effects are typically stomach upset, nausea, diarhea. These are ususally temporary as people get used to them. Some decreased libido and delayed orgasm is also common. Paxil (paroxetine) has more withdrawal symptoms of dizziness if a day is missed. Also there are several drug interactions that are not true of other ssri.
