A member asked:

Can a week of poor sleep cause digestive issues like nausea, heartburn and bloating?

Lack of sleep at any time can cause all of the above. Also your immune system, brain and diet are affected and an increase in stress is noted. You need to see a specialist for a regulated sleep pattern.

Lack of sleep can cause symptoms in just about any part of the body, but the symptoms you described are general enough that they may be due to other causes rather than the lack of sleep. Therefore, you should be evaluated by your primary doctor if the symptoms persist, to try to pinpoint their cause. Good luck.
