frequently pain in the scrotal area is misdiagnosed as epididymitis. Acute epidid causes pain, swelling sometimes fever. Chronic epidid is relatively uncommon. There are many other conditions eg an epi. cyst etc which can cause these symptoms. Suggest wear a supporrt underwear and use Ibuprofen as needed. If still have pain pl see a Urologist
