If a person has wolff-parkinson-white syndrome what is the likelihood of fatal cardiac arrest during an episode of 200+ bpm?

Sudden death & cardiac arrest is extremely rare in WPW patients. Many of us clinicians who had patients with it don't consider WPW syndrome a dangerous condition. However, being followed& advised by a cardiologist electrophysiologist is important. Knowing what meds to use & not use to treat arrythmias is key. For example, never take digoxin for a bout of A Fib which WPW patients are prone to.

Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome has treatments, including medication, and cardiac electrical ablation. It’s rare to die from Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, but it can happen.
