How long do you need to wait before trying to conceive, after having a dental x-ray (no apron)?

Not for a second. The effect of the x-ray is instantaneous, and will have no ongoing effect on you ability to conceive. We are obviously supposed to follow protocol and cover the patient's body with a lead shield. Just so you know the amount of radiation to which you are exposed for a dental x-ray survey is very low these days. You will receive more rays walking on the beach on a sunny day.

Proceed immediately if you want to. The minimal radiation will have no effect on your ability to conceive, or the health of a possible fetus.
