Radiographs: Dental radiographs use very little radiation and you are protected by a lead apron. That being said, is it necessary to take the films? Are you in pain, or is this an emergency? Are you cavity prone, or is your mouth relatively restoration free? When were the last films taken? Answers to these questions would help in answering your question.

X-rays/Pregnancy: Safe, yes. Todays digital x-rays are extremely low dose, less than a day's exposure to background radiation. That said, 1) Have Dentist make sure that your mouth is infection-free. 2) Follow Oral Hygiene instructions to the letter to prevent cavities/gum disease, which can be harmful to baby. 3). Wear lead apron when picts are taken. 4) Optional care/2nd trimester, active disease/treat now.
