I seems as if you have a high dental I.Q. and are correct in being concerned about this change of sensation. I advise you to go to your dentist and have them check out the area carefully and take an x-ray. Best wishes!

Itchy gums is from plaque buildup and inflammation. You are practicing good oral hygiene but may need a good cleaning from a hygienist.
