You apparently have a hemolytic anemia which is destroying your red blood cells. Is this acute or chronic? Is it autoimmune or genetic? How low is your Hgb& Hct? If very low, the hematologist must step in and stop the hemolytic process ASAP. Waiting a week would be dangerous if you're severely anemic. If you are having hemolytic anemia severe enough to cause you these symptoms, you need immediate attention. If you are not able to see your hematologist prior to a week, you may need to go to the emergency room.
