A creatine level of 1.38 is a little above normal. Depending on what your other electrolyte levels are, it could be anything from a little dehydration to mildly weak kidney function. The best doctor to interpret this lab result is the doctor who ordered the test. That doctor would know your medical issues as well as the rest of the lab results. More testing may be needed and/or a kidney doctor.

Although I've never seen it, it's said that some antibiotics, antacids & cholesterol meds can raise the creatinine levels without harming kidney function. You don't mention what your urinalysis findings were. However, as mentioned by Dr. F, decreased kidney function is the usual cause of an elevated creatinine& your physician is the best person to advise you.
