There are many possibilities for these symptoms-if it is only happening while you are sleeping, you may need a sleep test since sleep apnea should be ruled out. A cardiologist can rule out any heart issues. What labs were done? Were your thyroid function tests done? There may be other labs to check, depending on what was already done so see your doctor again. Good luck to you!

Just based on this description, it is not possible to pinpoint the cause of the symptoms. Before jumping to the conclusion that it may be related to the heart, it may be best to return to your primary care doctor for a history and physical exam to help decide what the best course of evaluation should be. Good luck.
